TrustAn open heart, a cry for grace
An honest plea, from my own place
I cannot trust while wounds inflicted
The heart will heal, yourself evicted

A life of trust and such destroyed
for why to mine emotions toyed
it is as is my life to live
to make the choice, you I forgive

But wisdom watches once is hurt
relationships don't run on dirt
a friendship without trust won't fly
the time has come to say goodbye
Fireworksfireworks ignite as seen through my pane
they always glow green dull flat and mundane
the fireworks that spark in the panes of your eyes
have every color they're vibrant alive

there has to be more than that gleam and that shine
just stand still and look, look deep into mine
my heart will beat stronger my will shall survive
what can't we accomplish as long as we strive

though sun may set and though sun may rise
the sun will stand still when I look in your eyes
my arms will be open my arms will be wide
I'll ever be patient for you at my side
